Dixie Flyers MTB is a volunteer-run organization. We depend on parents and volunteers to help keep the team running smoothly.

Sponsors
Work with existing and new sponsors to gather info, money and end of season gifts.

Race Roster
Prepare an easy to read spreadsheet for each race that tells when the kids are racing and positions in each group.
- Estimated Hours – 10 hours per season
Ride Leaders
Want to ride your bike with the team? GREAT! We accept all levels of riders to help foster a love for biking for these kids. Ride trails, help teach, and have fun.
- Estimated Hours – up to 6 hours per week
- Certifications Needed – minimum License Level 1 requirements set forth in Pit Zone
- Pit Zone fees may be reimbursed by the team (if needed), once you have ridden with the team a minimum of 10 times.
Race Roster
Create a detailed spreadsheet for each race, letting the kids and coaches know when to start warm-ups, staging and call-ups.
- Estimated Hours – 1 hour pre-race day (for each race)
Feed Zone
Tony Winder –
Clean and prepare water bottles for riders DURING race day. Pass off water bottles to riders who need it as they pass by.
Bring water bottles to Feed Zone station (water bottles and cooler are provided by team).
Arrange a spreadsheet for race day with parent volunteers to help hand out water throughout the race day.
- Estimated Hours – 1 to 2 hours per race day.
Pit Zone
Andy & Krista White –
Help riders and coaches in the pit zone throughout race day.
Organize set up and take down with parent volunteers.
Communicate with coaches throughout the day.
- Estimated Hours – 8 hours per race day.
Race Day Warm Ups
Allison Sepp and Will Sepp –
Organize riders prior to race, help them stretch and warm up.
Take riders to staging when necessary.
- Estimated Hours – 6 hours per race day.
Staging
Ensure riders get to the start for their race and have call-up numbers.
When temperatures permit- use water sprayers and umbrellas or towels to keep riders cool as they wait to start their race.
- Estimated Hours – 6 hours per race day.
Race Day Food
Work with a team of parent volunteers to ensure riders and coaches have plenty of snacks, drinks, breakfast and lunch available throughout race day.
- Estimated Hours – 10 to 12 hours per season
Photographer
Mackenzie Dye –
Take pictures throughout the season at races and practices if applicable.
Team and individual photos
- Estimated Hours – 10 to 12 hours per season
Swag
Heather Givens –
Coordinate with Hillary Boren to design, create and acquire swag and other merchandise for the riders, coaches and family members.
Create google spread sheet for easy ordering of products and facilitate distribution.
- Estimated Hours – 10 to 12 hours per season
Booster
Help to distribute yard signs, posters, and other promotional items throughout the season.
